Nelson
Chin is an independent management consultant who advises firms on strategic planning,
ethics, internal controls, expense management, fraud investigations, forensic
accounting, compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and how to avoid other conflicts
of interest.
As founder of CorporateConflicts.com, he hopes to raise awareness
of the various conflicts of interest in the corporate environment and assist those
entities in resolving those conflicts.
Nelson Chin's work experience before
founding Corporate Conflicts included Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director
at Baker & McKenzie LLP - New York, one of the largest global network of law
firms. As COO, he had oversight of accounting, systems, administration, human
resources, marketing, and operations.
Prior to that, Nelson Chin served
as Chief Operating Officer of JP Morgan's Structured Finance Division. Responsibilities
included financial reporting, expense management, administration, supervision
of support personnel including management of third party service providers and
technology consultants.
Nelson Chin began his career as an auditor and
consultant at Arthur Andersen after graduating from New York University. He received
his Bachelor of Science from N.Y.U. as a double major in Accounting and Finance.
